  • Since 2007, the Social Communication Coordination (CCS) uses the UFSCAR Support System Integrated Communication (SACI) for management of flows, processes, automated dissemination and recording information about the University in various media, internal and external. In this informational universe it is necessary to review, improve, setting, and sometimes the (re) definition of the way it has been implemented actions generation, representation, retrieval and protection of knowledge recorded in the system. Activity is justified considering that currently there is disparity between the forms data entry Clipping in SACI (CCS) and forms established by international standards which causes problems in retrieving records. This activity is set as main objective (re) define procedures for generation, representation, retrieval and protection of recorded knowledge in the SACI Clippings and evaluate ways of protecting this knowledge. Specific objectives are expected to evaluate the information flow to identify, select, record, retrieval and dissemination of the records and the SACI; evaluate the process of receiving and generation of clippings; evaluate the forms of representation of clippings, considering international standards; evaluating mechanisms for retrieval and dissemination of clippings; analyze protection mechanisms of recorded knowledge (intellectual property rights and free culture). The methodological procedures are established: evaluation of information flow; Review of the receiving process and generation of clippings; evaluation of forms of representation, considering international standards; Review of recovery mechanisms and dissemination of clippings; Review of mechanisms to protect the recorded knowledge (intellectual property and free culture). During this year the analysis of records Clippings SACI was taken in regard to the media titles and headlines in order to study the forms of records of information of clipping that, retrospectively, the standardization of metadata to be made according the Anglo American Cataloguing, the international standard for representing knowledge records, as well as establishing procedures for this activity. As partial results are observed: the development work of completion; improving the SACI on ways to recover; students' interest in studying ways of representing the clippings; assess the competencies of the agents involved in the generation of clippings; analysis of mechanisms of protection recorded knowledge (intellectual property rights and free culture); restructuring of the CCS site using a Creative Commons license; identification of intellectual property assets, such as text, trademarks, photos, etc..
