Justified given the work the job identification, the Brazilian national bibliography, the fact that different institutions in the process of converting bibliographic data to MARC21 Bibliographic format, leave the study, knowledge and delineation of the structure of their data in base to be converted. It is noteworthy that the MARC format is not yet widely adopted by Brazilian institutions, impeding the enjoyment of opportunities bibliographic records sharing and networking. It is understood that this arises from ignorance of the standard; limitations of the technology infrastructure; of budget constraints; disability in resource management; inexperience in software selection; ignoring the processes of conversion and data migration. As a result we expect the theoretical contributions on the study of syntactic and semantic aspects of bibliographic records, and submit, through the interdisciplinary Information Science, Linguistics and Computer Science, an application tool for conversion of bibliographic records substantiate the practical applications of interoperability.
