- In 2006, the General Archive of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid came to be the first university archive in Spain obtaining the quality management certificate according to ISO 9001:2000 standard. This article describes the journey to reach that point and the way in which the implementation of a quality management system has changed and driven the archive forward.
