- The indexing policy constructed from the objectives and characteristics of each institution optimizes the thematic treatment of information and ensure the quality of both the indexing as a retrieval by subject. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the reality of organizational and communicational of the Coordination of Social Communication of the Federal University of São Carlos (CCS-FUSCar), Brazil, from sociocognitive context of the information professionals and users, for the elaboration of a indexing policy of automated systems of Coordination of Social Communication in brazilian university environments. The results showed that the CCS-FUSC does not have a policy and a guide for the systematize the process of clippings indexing. So, we are suggesting to unit the developing of a policy and of a manual of indexing for clippings by their peculiarities.
