- "El profesional de la información" (EPI), is a journal that was founded in 1992 as the newsletter "Information world review". It became a scientific journal with peer-reviewed articles in 1998. Currently it is indexed in the major databases that covers Library, Information science, Communication and Information management: Social Science Citation Index (and Journal Citation Reports), Scopus, Inspec, LISA, Lista, ISOC, Pascal, Francis, Academic Search, Economía y negocios, etc. In this work its main content characteristics and its style manual are presented. Authors wishing to publish an article in EPI should read this style manual carefully. It should be taken into account that the rejection index of the journal is around 75%.
