- The Austrian Library Network is (still) using the Bibos-2 library automation system. The article deals with the various problems of this system due to the growth of the union database and the current transaction load. The authors explain the consequences of the dimensions achieved so far and point to the limits that occur - more or less clearly - to Bibos cataloguers, catalogue users, and system administrators. Examples are limits concerning searching and displaying search results, book processing and system maintenance, as well as some size-related software errors.
