- The article describes a new web gateway to the union catalogue of the Austrian Library Network. The gateway was implemented by the authors at the Vienna University Computer Centre in September 1996 in order to provide a user interface that is more comfortable than the original Bibos-2-OPAC. Nevertheless, the web gateway depends on the basic functionalities of that OPAC. It is designed as a temporary solution until a new software system for the consortium of Austrian libraries will be implemented.
