- United States authorized information sources employed in universitary results evaluation are used in Spain as a current normative methodology. The Research Divisions and the Research Results Transfer Offices (OTRI) statistics provide a link R&D expenses-scientific publications productivity. That makes sense of the University-Firm relationship. Research evaluation has changed since citation analysis is at work. Spanish experience was controversial, after the National Commission for University Evaluation fall under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education in 1990. As a case study, the Department of Economic Analysis, Valencia (Spain), research results are scrutinised through the Social Science Citation Index.
