- The development of the Austrian library system in the 1980s and 1990s. Nine questions to Edith Stumpf-Fischer, head of the Department for Scientific Library, Documentation and Information Issues at the Austrian Federal Ministry for Science and Research from 1981 to 1995. This interview outlines fundamental developments of the Austrian scientific library system and the library policy in the 1980s and 1990s. Amongst other things, the mission and the duties of the Department for Scientific Library, Documentation and Information Issues at the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science and Research, the implementation of the integrated electronic library network, and the effects of the reforms of the University Acts are discussed.
