- The term Science 2.0 has become fashionable and is used in discussions on the modernization of science. The author decided to examine whether there are any practical solutions and actions behind it. The problem was diagnosed in a group of historians of modern Polish history - the environment, which have an important cultural and political role. The study consisted in analyzing the content of Web pages of certain universities, resources of digital libraries and other repositories of knowledge, services intended for researchers who want to establish cooperation, electronic journals, scientific forums, blogs and personal Web pages of researchers. The author was looking for signs of activity known as Science 2.0: the publishing of scientific papers on the Internet, scientific reviews made by Internet users, online scientific communication, scientific discussions on the web. The results proved to be pessimistic – for historians of modern Polish history, the concept is only a postulate. At the same time, it has been identified that in the Internet facilitates research on the modern Polish history.
