- A progress of the Research on Information Literacy in Argentina is presented. This work is being developed by the Research Group of Information of the School of Library, Faculty of Humanities, National University of Córdoba (UNC). This is an approach to the current state of information literacy in the province of Córdoba and covers only one type of libraries: public libraries. The methodology applied and the first results and conclusions are described. Some basic recommendations are given and finally suggestions are made to disseminate information literacy and to generate changes that enable inclusion and social transformation from their own public libraries.
