- The creation and management of a repository can involve important difficulties for small and medium information units. Given the complexity of the implementation of free applications as DSpace or Fedora Commons, or the high cost that may represent the acquisition of a proprietary software, Omeka stands as an ideal solution to create digital repositories or even to complement existing ones with virtual exhibitions thanks to data reuse and interoperability.
