Daftar Isi:
- The purpose of this paper was to conduct a diagnosis to know the needs of information recorded in documents about exercise sciences of the faculty members and graduate students of the School of Sports Organization (FOD) of the Nuevo Leon Autonomous University (UANL), hence a program of library instruction program could be built upon them to meet them. A literature review was conducted. In addition a quantitative-qualitative survey was conducted with 50 faculty members and graduate students of FOD, UANL, with a response rate of 22% (11 surveys). This work showed evidence that there exists a high percent of respondents that are incompetent to use at expert and advanced levels the systems of information recorded in documents (both pay-per-access and Open Access). Thus, this diagnosis is a good justification to implement a permanent library instruction program that meets the needs of the exercise sciences through the FOD, UANL “Ing. Cayetano Garza Garza” Library. This is a pilot study and it is suggested to encompass undergraduate students as well in the future.
