- The author of the article suggests what corrections in the performance strategies of the National Library and legislation on long-term preservation and access of the national movable cultural heritage should be made taking into consideration documents adopted by 70th IFLA Conference that took place in Buenos Aires, Argentina; information policies of the EU and international organizations; and the rise of electronic publications and their exceptional characteristics. She also analyzes issues concerning implementation of systems for international standard identification of documents, Lithuania‘s integration into the Europeana and TEL projects and adoption of European and international information and documentation standards in Lithuania.
