- The mobile web is present in our lives and the libraries are not beyond it. The W3C refers to mobile as a website where the user can access the information from anywhere, regardless of the type of device he use for it. Users are increasingly demanding more mobile services, so that tools and services are increasing. Mobile technologies such as QR codes, have come to libraries and are fashionable. This paper explains the advantages of this code and its general applications, and then focus on the use of information units. It also presents the evolution of technologies for automatic identification of materials from barcodes and bidis codes to get to the QR code and finally it gives a brief explanation of RFID technology
