- This paper presents the main features of the Omeka program, the aim of which is to create virtual exhibitions from collections of documents of any kind. It describes the installation, creation, publication, consultation and visualization of documents, collections and exhibitions and provides examples of various implementations. The version analysed - 1.4.1 – is the latest and is available at the project web site. The aim is to provide an introduction to the programme and to highlight its main functions.
