- The article presents the beginnings and the present state of web archiving in the world. It also describes the most important initiatives, international organizations and useful portals, publications and lists of links. It presents the characteristic features of web resource archives and problems resulting from creating and maintaining such archives. The author describes four projects of securing web pages to point out possible dangers we may face.
