- This paper analyzes the weaknesses of the Humanities and Social Sciences journal publishing sector in Spain. These are mostly institutional publications or generated by a small group (association, department, research group) with a low production every year, limited impact, inefficient management and finding it difficult to overcome certain image of inbreeding. Against this dominant model, the authors propose the merge of publications to improve their management and find a greater recognition.
