- E-textbooks are a new college study aid that is gaining in popularity. Instead of lugging old-fashioned ink and paper books to classes, students can now use iPhones or iPod Touch devices to access textbooks online for reference during classes. E-textbooks are becoming more and more accessible. They are also available for about half the price of the printed book. Electronic textbooks have proven to be a great substitute to the printed college textbooks. A student can now find an exact word or topic faster, copy and paste the text into their coursework, post a comment within the e-book.
