  • Since 2010 the Milano-Bicocca University Library has enhanced the Information Literacy activities both in classroom and as distance learning, gathering a need expressed by users in previous surveys. In fact, on one hand, monthly courses on bibliographic search have been activated, and the collaboration with professors has been increased in order to organize workshops for students and PhD students; on the other hand, a website’s section on Information Literacy was created, which presents calendar of training activities, provides educational materials of courses organized, and offers many tutorials and guides on bibliographic search http://www.biblio.unimib.it/go/Home/Home/Servizi-agli-utenti/Information-Literacy-formazione-degli-utenti. At the end of each course given by librarians, a quick questionnaire was given to detect user satisfaction on trainings, to gather suggestions, and to monitor the overall perception of the library. The survey reports on courses organized in 2010 and 2011 not only show research aims, methods and findings, but also displays trainings statistics provided from 2000 to 2011, when 840 users in 35 different courses were involved. The feedback from users who attended at 26 courses organized in 2010 was very useful to improve the training offer in the following year.
