- The present study is a bibliometric analysis of the Social Sciences production of the women researchers affiliated to Andalusian universities from 2002 up to 2007, indexed in the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) database. Growth in the number of publications and a high co-authorship collaboration were observed. The data also point to the fact that women researchers at the University of Granada are leaders of the Social Sciences research in Andalucía. It also reveals that most of these women researchers are small producers (58,92%) and only one "great" producer with 10 articles in SSCI was found.
