- Challenges and solutions for the management of information in the Tecnalia Technology Corporation. The technology corporation Tecnalia is the largest technology company in the State and consists of eight Basque technology centres with different origins and sector focuses. This paper includes a description of the solutions that three of its documentation centres have developed in response to the classic and common needs of the organisations that they serve: the customised design of a document management system; the selection and optimisation of quality information resources; and the training activity in information skills. The professionals dealing with documents in the technology centres must also deal with the challenges arising from the new information era and respond to the complex needs of their users who are, by definition, knowledge workers.
