- Last year several Austrian, German and Swiss libraries and library networks decided to implement search engine technology to improve research in their holdings. As a consequence a number of Austrian university libraries and the Austrian Library Network started respectively finalized projects concerning the usage of the Ex Libris software Primo. Even in Germany and Switzerland existed pilot projects to gather first experiences related to the mentioned product. Some expectations and first impressions were ascertained and compared by conducting interviews in the context of a master thesis.
