- As has happened in many other fields, scientific output in the area of nursing has grown quickly and steadily. The health professionals demanded a tool to access this type of information and, in response, the Cuiden database was created in 1991 followed by the Bdie database in 1999. This article describes the development of nursing documentation, as well as the Cuiden and Bdie databases.
