- Development and customization of information science for conditions of digital environment, includes a change in the terminology used. Much terms fall into disuse, changes the meaning, are replaced by new, better for new environment. Changes in the Polish terminology also drives the reception of foreign literature and standards, particularly English. The paper discusses the evolution of the meaning and application of the term document, and pointed with modern equivalent terms.
