- For many centuries, the native people who live in the current territory of Argentina have fought to mantain their identity in, most of the time, unfavourable contexts and, anyway, their historical and collective memory is getting lost. In this context, librarianship can rescue and transmit everything that a community recognizes as its cultural heritage. Qom are part of so many native people of our territory who suffered the deprivation of their land and culture, which caused many families to settle in other places in search of better living conditions. In our country, there are some 2 experiences of libraries in indigenous communities. This research shows, particularly, the cultural and identity recovery work carried out by the Indigenous Library Qomllalaqpi in a qom community, organized by native families of the provinces of Chaco and Formosa, in the Daviaxaiqui Community in Derqui
