- We sought to identify the documentary supports used by teachers of Bachelor of Information Systems (BSI), Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), taught on the modality of Distance Education (EAD). We tried to also identify the means of access to such media and documentary forms of delivery of such materials to students. The application of a questionnaire as a data collection technique showed results as the preference of the teachers of the BSI documentary in digital media, the use of electronic books, electronic textbooks and by the Flash movie as documentary supports basic and the printed book and the e-mail as a medium for additional documentation. The Moodle platform adopted for distance education, was nominated as the main form of documentary media, and libraries and private collections, as the main means of access used by teachers to media documentary in the bibliography of his discipline. The possibilities of access to virtual libraries, the use of the virtual environment Second Life and e-readers, some suggestions were given by professors to increase the course of BSI.
