It addresses concepts of information, intelligence units, products and services in information units, such as marketing management process and the role of the librarian with a focus on users. Shows the relationship between these concepts in order to give an overview of the management model focused on users. Finally, we present discussions on the need to also adopt marketing strategies that are aimed at the professional management of the profile of the librarian.
