- The object of this investigation, was to determine the presence of Argentinian university libraries in the Facebook Social Network. Data from the web sites of 165 Argentinian university libraries, nationals and privates, was analysed with the purpose of determine which of them have a profile, group or page in Facebook, the amount of members of each one, the information that they provide and the periodicity of updating. The conclusion was that, despite the benefits that the network gives, the Argentinian presence is almost non-existent: only 6 libraries have a page, profil or group.
