Estudio histórico y bibliométrico de la Revista Argentina Diaeta

  • Objective: To evaluate the development of the research and the scientific publications of Argentine nutritionists through the historical and bibliometric analysis of the journal Diaeta. Methodology: Descriptive transverse design. All the issues of the journal Diaeta, from the beginning of its edition in 1981 to 2008 were included in this study. A sample of 63 units of study was obtained from a random stratified sampling per year, considering 50 % of the publications for every period. Results: There was an increase in the Original Articles and other thematic areas other than the traditional Dietotherapy. The average of the authors per article was three for Original Articles and two authors for Review and Progress articles. The most frequent language for the bibliographical references was English, and Spanish in the second place. The profession of the more productive authors in addition to nutritionist were; Physician, Chemistry and Chemical Engineers. Conclusions: The Journal DIAETA has showed in a few years a rapid improvementaccompanying the progress in the development of the research of Argentine nutritionists.
