- From the inventory, analysis and evaluation of different Documents repositories and Digital Libraries exist in Colombia, carried out within the research project called Digital Library Colombiana (BDCOL) Colciencias sponsored by the Ministry of Education of Colombia and thirteen Universities participants carried out a document that contains a model of interoperability between documental information systems (bibliographic and full content) , which includes a description of the standards and norms, which will be based BDCOL for the exchange and collection of metadata and digital objects of different institutional repositories and Digital Libraries in Colombia, especially those whose institutions responsible members of the National Network of High Speed and Advanced Technology (RENATA).
