- This paper focuses on the device "technological imaginary" as the creator of social meanings in the field of university education in library science professionals from a historical perspective. The case study "Race for the Library of the Faculty of Humanities and Education at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata (Argentina) in the last 30 years, focuses on the curricular changes in the curriculum implemented in the period (1978, 1980, 1986, 2004) and major technological innovations in education, for considering specific technologies and / or associated with the field.
