- There is a large amount of publications about conservation of paper-based collections. The development of a vademecum gives a visual and practical guideline for the librarian ́s daily use. This work allows the identification of dangers/enemies present in library collections. Firstly, the search and selection of bibliography in Spanish are performed. Then, the similarities and differences between authors are examined. For the design of the vademecum structure, the materials selected and other examples of this kind of work are taken into account. The result is the presentation of three technical sheets: one about light, another on insects and the last one about handling and storage.
