- The present paper tackles the question of the unavoidable archival description and defines the main descriptive tools traditionally offering information to the user, attending to different detail levels as far as documentation of the file is concerned. On the other hand, our paper also focuses on the history, concept and structure of the standard ISAD(G), and refers as well to other standards such as ISAAR(CPF) and EAD.
