- Web interfaces to databases aim to establish communication between users seeking information and information retrieval systems and, as such, are one of the most important aspects in the conceptual design of a database. Database interfaces are composed of several pages: search, lists, results, indexes, general information and help pages. The objective of this text is to determine which are the basic elements that should be present on these pages in order to improve the information retrieval process for users.
