- The objectives of this study will determine what degree of knowledge about the subject in regard to work ethic, which is examining the conduct of research subjects in the workplace in relation to colleagues, users and the existing hierarchy; verify there are difficulties in maintaining an ethical stance in the workplace. The methodology used was quantitative research, with case study. Data collection was obtained through a questionnaire with closed questions. The results provided a better understanding of the importance of professional ethics for information related to librarianship, their links with colleagues and with the existing hierarchy and, more specifically, about their understanding of applied ethics to the professional librarian.
