- The purpose of this collection of bibliographic information resources on prevention and disaster action in libraries and archives, is a comprehensive selection of those materials available through the Internet, which might be of interest to information professionals, librarians or archivists. The selection criteria considered the inclusion of Spanish-language materials or summaries available in this language, published between 1988 to 2010. The procedure used to select the documents, has been systematically reviewing the bibliographies found in the documents consulted in E-Lis , google, google Scholar, in March 2010. This selection also includes a count of news that might be of interest to those wishing to know the situation regarding the earthquake in Chile, which occurred on Saturday 27 February2010. The importance and content of the materials included is characterized by reference and is recommended to consult directly with experts and / or organizations responsible for each country to design prevention programs and disaster action Libraries.
