- The present work makes a brief comparative analysis between thesauri and ontologies, their similarities, their differences and the possibility to convert thesauri into ontologies. It examines several thesauri and one ontology from the astronomical field with the purpose to evaluate parameters like granularity, level of terms reutilization for different systems, etc.
