- Funding principles for academic public libraries. The analysis of selected performance indicators from the years 2002-2007. The paper presents sources of funds for academic public libraries in Poland, the possibilities for acquiring additional funds and the ways of allocation of funds within library budgets. General information and comments are followed by the analysis of performance indicators selected from the nation-wide project Analysis of the performance of research libraries in Poland (AFBN) [http://ssk2.bu.amu.edu.pl/standaryzacja/]. The analysis of values of indicators and their changes in the years 2002-2007 has been preceded with the comparison of the AFBN Project with adequate foreign recommendations and standards as well as experiences of foreign countries.
