- The aim of this paper is to identify all the PhD dissertations defended in the University of Zaragoza (Spain) from year 1991 to the year 2008 and included within the scope of Information Sciences. The visibilización of the research made in different departments 37 is the objective. The methodology is to analyze the theses in the ―Data base of theses read in the University of Zaragoza‖ available in Web. The PhD dissertations are identified, described and organized. The dissemination of the PhD dissertations in the University of Zaragoza (Spain) in different departments among the years 1991 and 2008 is the conclusion. It is recommended to consider the topics and the methodologies of the protected works, before the department of the presentation of the doctoral thesis.
