- The theorical basis of the application of four numerical indicators in order to obtain a bibliometric evaluation of Spanish scientific and technical periodicals is described. The bibliometric characteristics are represented by the following indicators: 1) potential capacity for transferring documental information; 2) chronological fit of referred documentation; 3) currency of this documentation; 4) documental isolation or interdependence.
