- We carry out a quick review of open access on its two routes: golden one, author pays, journals; and green, repositories. The high visibility that documents acquire when deposited in repositories is commented. We discuss the features of E-LIS and its stats. We conclude that Andalusia has a creditable 4th place in library and information science among the Spanish regions. The Faculty of Communication and Documentation, University of Granada (UGR) and its bibliometric studies of science is prominent. The percentages of E-LIS are consistent with the production of documents collected in the ISI, Scopus and Lista databases. Granada (and Cordoba) are above average. The E-LIS team encourages Andalusian authors and researchers to continue depositing in that repository, that was created six years ago.
