- SAD (Statistics Enquiry Service) of the Institut d'Estadística de Catalunya (Idescat) handles bespoken requests for statistical information from users who need special tables that are not available on the web, or users who can not find the data they they are seeking. It is based on a work-flow software. It complements other dissemination services (library, printed publications, web), and if it is provided with a good speed and quality it allows for a very good image among an influential segment of the population. However, we must put the necessary means for it to be "controlled" in order to disturb as less as possible the work of the Institut's statisticians. Some examples and operational experiences are presented.
