- The goal of this communication is to classify and analyze the main sources that provide access to online newspapers and their contents. The basic criterion for determining the type of products has been the primary function they do for the user, which has led us to establish four main areas: access to newspapers, information search, information clipping and contents aggregation. From each of these classes, are described and analyzed various types: directories, historical press archives, newspaper press archives, press databases, press clipping, online clipping, manually aggregators, automated aggregators and social aggregators. It also shows some significant examples.
