- The fee for services issue at information units supported by public funds is dealt with from a theo-retical perspective. The addition of value to information (from its creation to its dissemination), its price and the application of fees as a regulator of access to information resources are analysed from a social and economic point of view. Finally, some sociological and library movements in favour or against this type of fees are reviewed.
