  • Security in libraries covers three areas: personal safety of users of buildings and facilities and the safety of the bibliographic resources. They are often treated independently, but all the same treatment causes the formation of a valuable meshing improving its effectiveness. The libraries are mostly managed by local governments, regional and state, often belong to networks or clusters, being scattered, and often physically integrated are located inside buildings and institutions with other commitments and occupations, hampering the creation and implementation of a central unit dedicated to the safety of the three areas listed above.
