None of these, but in this section.</subject><description>The aim of this paper is to chart educational innovation in the disciplinary field of Information and Documentation in Spain from 1998 to present. The starting point is to consider that innovation is important for both students and faculty knowledge of the area of Library and Information Science. For the former, because it is oriented towards the acquisition of scientific and professional skills by finding the quality of teaching, emphasizing the ways of learning and not just the content and structure of qualifications. For the latter, because the educational innovation allows them to expand their teaching competence and merit necessary to achieve advancement in their academic career. At work delimiting the different perspectives from which to analyze the educational innovation in Information and Documentation: a) the objectives sought-implementation of improvement actions, pilot projects and innovative experiments, production of teaching materials and other learning resources support and design and implementation of new teaching methodologies, with emphasis on the detailed study of formal and informal channels through which results are disseminated (publications of scientific articles, monographs, conference proceedings, reports and other gray literature ; seminars, meetings and awards and honors), b) agents and recipients of innovation, viewed from different levels that involve (drivers of educational policy, academic administrators, faculty, administrative staff and students; c ) the methodology that is developed through strategic planning (invitations, programs and projects) in the context that favors the information technology and communication; d) the area in which it takes place, considered from the perspective geographical, institutional and academic e) the time frame that initiates and develops educational innovation.
