- The main aim of this paper is to present the problems related to the Bibliografia Zawartości Czasopism (Index of Periodicals) from the moment of its formation and issues connected with attempts of its adjustment to expectations of a contemporary user of information. After having presented the problems of a choice and selection of materials, the author discusses changes resulting from the application of new technologies for creating and using the bibliography. In the next part of the paper the author presents „Prasa” – the common database of newspaper and weeklies articles as well as the possibilities of searching information within MAK databases. In conclusion, the tasks of the BZCz team are discussed (such as applying the UDC and preparing additional possibility of accessing the bibliography in the form of PDF files).
