- We present the results of the various initiatives undertaken since the Institutional Repository of the University of Alicante (RUA) to encourage participation of teachers and researchers from the University, promoting community building and self-archiving of educational materials and research. Among the actions mentioned in this presentation are the different calls for economic aid to the areas of teaching, research and journals, the implementation of a statistics module and creating a blog like news channel and communication with the university community. In conclusion points to a number of initiatives to develop short and medium term to increase the number of materials in our repository.
