- Integration of bibliographic database and scientific information flow system. Bibliographic databases dedicated to providing information about working papers and published research are widely used in Polish libraries and information centers of universities and research institutes. Their field of application is not limited to the original purpose. Modern bibliographic databases are sources of bibliometric data and are used as a basis for statistics, reports and analyses. This paper presents an example of the information flow system (SPIN) developed in Wojskowy Instytut Medyczny, Warsaw (WIM). The information flow system is an information retrieval system for processing WIM research files. The system stores and retrieves information on WIM research project and reports. Important features of the system include the use of bibliographic database on each stage of research project development from project formation to its account.
